Last year my sister visited Dog Beach in San Diego and came home with pictures/video of her Dane mixes playing with an enormous white Dane named Titan. Knowing how big my sister's dogs are, and seeing that this dog was nearly twice their size, I remarked to my sister "How can this not be the biggest dog in the world?". I joined my sister at dog beach for the '09 trip and I had hoped we'd run into the giant white Dane, but it was not to be. I was so excited to see on tv and in the newspaper. Congratulations Titan!

What a wonderful story to read. A co-worker brought me an article he read in the paper about the world's tallest dog and we laughed b/c I am a little over a foot taller than Titan! You are a saviour to these special needs dogs and God bless all of you who rescue and give these babies loving homes. I am right there with you. Congrats Titan!

Congrats to Titan and his mom, Diana. You are both an inspiration to humans with a big heart and dogs with a need of human understanding. Titan is just one example of how animals can get along in life without hearing and almost without sight. He's an inspiration to humans with the same disability. There really is nothing like a Dane when it comes to large dogs and it looks like Diana hit the jackpot with Titan.

I've seen the wrong side of people's treatment of pets in my area pet shelter and it's through sites like Titan's that I've now committed myself to a monthly donation to help save those homeless guys.
